Travel to Olomouc

by train

Olomouc is easily accessible by train. For details see IDOS.

by car

From Brno (80 km) use E462 (D1, R46). From Ostrava (100 km) use E462 (R35). From Prague (280 km) use either E50 (E65, D1) to Brno or E67 (D11) to Hradec Kralove and then E442 (R35) from Hradec Kralove to Olomouc. The use of Czech highways and some speedways is subject to the motorway fee.

by plane

The nearest international airports are Prague – Ruzyne (280 km) and Vienna – Flughafen (200 km).

From Prague – Ruzyne you can get to Olomouc by car ( car rentals available at the airport) or by train. From the airport to the railway station “Praha hlavni nadrazi” (15 km) you can get by taxi or by bus #119 to the station “Dejvicka” and from “Dejvicka” by underground transport “Metro”, route A, to the station “Muzeum”, where you have to change for route C to the station “Hlavni nadrazi”. However, prague taxis aren't exactly a cheap matter (20 – 25 CZK/km; besides, the airport “taxi” is not a taxi, but a transport contractor), so we rather recommend the relatively cheap city public transport (20 CZK / 75 mins anywhere in Prague).

From Vienna – Flughafen you can get either to the railway station “Wien – Sudbahnhof” or to the railway station “Wien – Nord” by Vienna public transport (bus or railway) and then you can get to Olomouc by train.

Travel in Olomouc

From conference location (tram station “Nam. Republiky”) you can get to your place of accommodation as follows:

Business Hotel Alley:	use tram #6 (#4) and at the station “Okresni soud” change for tram #7 (#5) or #1 and get off at the station “Trznice”
Hotel Gemo:	use tram #6 (#4) and get off at the station “Okresni soud”
Hotel Lafayette:	use tram #6 (#4) and at the station “Okresni soud” change for tram #7 (#5) or #1 and get off at the station “Trznice”
Hotel Flora:	use tram #6 (#4) and get off at the station “Vystaviste Flora”
